The whooping crane is a large and critically endangered bird species native to North America. They are known for their long-distance migrations. The remaining wild population migrates between breeding grounds in Wood Buffalo National Park in Canada and wintering grounds along the Gulf Coast of Texas- where we are lucky enough to see during winter.
